Mechanical/Structural Designer

In fulfilling the primary focus of the position, the incumbent will typically:
1. Undertake drawing of industrial plant as per instructions from Team Leader. Drawing types include:
. ductwork
. mechanical components
. pipework, P&ID’s
. platforms/stairways
. basic structures
2. Carry out minor design of plant/structures in conjunction with team leader.
3. Exercise judgement and initiative in the application of engineering drafting principles, techniques and methods to achieve project/task outcomes.
4. Identify, assist and/or develop technical systems within the business that improve productivity and quality.
5. Act within Adra Groups quality system, policies, procedures and technical standards.

20 days annual leave each year
13th month salary bonus

To achieve the purpose of the position, the following attributes are required:
1. Mechanical / Structural Engineering Associate Diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience in mechanical and structural design.
3. Considerable level of expertise & knowledge in Engineering Design & Drafting techniques.
4. Proven ability to work in a close team environment with experience in developing and maintaining relationships with team members.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates with working experience in professional English environment are preferred.
6. Ability to use conceptual and analytical skills to interpret and apply industry standards and best practice research to projects.
7. A commitment to continued professional development.
Knowledge of CAD is essential, preferred platforms are AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor 3D.
